WhatAScam – Report, Search & Verify Scams is a free, community-powered public awareness platform for reporting and documenting scams, fraud, corruption, missing persons, and related criminal activity. The Platform is operated as a public interest service and does not represent or replace official law enforcement.
By submitting a report, you certify that the information provided is accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge. Deliberately false or defamatory submissions are strictly prohibited. WhatAScam – Report, Search & Verify Scams reserves the right to remove any submission without prior notice.
Nothing on this Platform constitutes legal advice. If you have been a victim of a crime, please contact your local law enforcement, cybercrime helpline, or qualified legal counsel.
Reports on this Platform are user-submitted and reviewed by our moderation team. However, WhatAScam – Report, Search & Verify Scams does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information published. Users must independently verify all information before acting on it.
You may not use this Platform to: (a) submit false, defamatory, or harassing content; (b) impersonate any person or entity; (c) collect personal data of other users; (d) attempt to hack or disrupt the Platform; (e) use the API for purposes other than stated in your application; (f) scrape data in violation of these terms.
Donations made to WhatAScam – Report, Search & Verify Scams are voluntary, non-refundable, and used solely for operational expenses including hosting, domain, security, and development. Donations do not confer any rights, special access, or service guarantees. We are not a registered charity or NGO. Please consult your local tax authority regarding deductibility.
API access is granted for legitimate use cases only. API keys must not be shared publicly or used to bulk-harvest data for commercial resale. Rate limits apply. Law enforcement API access requires submission and admin approval of valid official documentation. Misuse results in immediate revocation.
Law enforcement agencies may apply for verified access to our database. Such access is granted solely for official investigative purposes. Misuse of law enforcement access will be reported to relevant authorities and legal action may follow.
All Platform design, branding, code, and original content belongs to WhatAScam – Report, Search & Verify Scams. User-submitted content remains the property of the submitter, but by submitting, you grant us a non-exclusive license to publish and display it on the Platform.
WhatAScam – Report, Search & Verify Scams shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of or reliance on the Platform. The Platform is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Himachal Pradesh, India.
